Jenna Moore

Hello, and welcome to my website. I am an astrophysics instrumentalist who specializes in building and characterizing readout assemblies for cosmic microwave background (CMB) observatories. In 2023, I received my Ph.D. in Exploration Systems Design with a focus in Astronomical Instrumentation from Arizona State University’s School of Earth and Space Exploration in Tempe, Arizona. At ASU, I worked under the direction of Dr. Philip Mauskopf to develop cryogenic readout harnesses for the Simons Observatory.

Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Physics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Here at Duke, I am working with Dr. Eve Vavagiakis to establish a new experimental cosmology instrumentation laboratory. Our group will conduct cryogenic testing of state-of-the-art detectors and devices for cosmic microwave background (CMB) experiments such as CCAT and CMB-S4.

In 2018, I received a Master’s degree in Physics from Fisk University through the Fisk-Vanderbilt Bridge Program. In 2016, I completed my undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.
